In this class we will concentrate on the deep breathing that creates the foundation of the Ashtanga yoga practice. We will explore the breathing separately as well as try combining it with simple movements in the practice. The second part of the class is reserved for discussion on the more philosophical nature of yoga as well as other routines a practitioner might adopt to support the development of one’s practice. – An existing Mysore-style Ashtanga yoga practice is recommended for maximum benefit of participation
